This guy/gal flies past my house everyday. Of course it’s around dawn and again at dusk, so I never have decent light. I love how their scrawny legs stick out when they fly. 🪶#birds

I heard a very odd bird sound the other night. It sounded like a car with issues. It was getting dark and it flew past so fast that I couldn’t catch what it was. He was chasing another bird. Found out this morning what it was. A belted kingfisher! My first. Sorry for the bad photo, he was far away.

Coopers Hawk caught himself a pigeon yesterday. The pigeon was as big as he was and he was hardly able to carry it. He proceeded to hide it from me in case I wanted it for myself. 🪶#birds

I have, what I presume is the same pair of robins that return every year. I only ever have one pair at a time. One of them isn’t skittish and likes to show off the days catch for me. She/he does this every summer. Today she/he had a good grasshopper haul. 🪶# birds

Beautiful Red Tail Hawk was out this morning. He put the “Red Tail” in Red Tail Hawk. 🪶#birds

The kestrels were not very happy with the hawk hanging around their territory. The kept dive bombing him until he flew off.
