I just got the news this morning that a friend is leaving the island with her family - this is the third time I have had such news 3 months. I understand why and I wish them well. But, by god, it's sad to see them all go.

Yesterday a pal was getting dressed in her house, bedroom door wide open because she wasn't expecting anyone. A tourist walked into the house without knocking, just calling out, because they needed directions. It's this kind of lack of respect for boundaries that's giving tourism a bad name.
