I write because I love writing. I love writing even when I'm struggling with a writing problem that is killing me. Finding a way through that problem is both intensely rewarding and also helps me become a better writer. There is no reason for me to ever outsource that.

Lrp the most quietly isolating thing is sending art to someone who is considered a close friend and going from entire discussion to just an emote acknowledgement. Doesnt even have to be admiration, idc bout that. I put thought into my thing, i like thoughts back.

I'll say it again, Art is communication. "Create for yourself" really means "Create art that communicates who you are." And one sided communication feels terrible. Commenting on peoples art/creations can be scary, I get it. But COMMENT. COMMUNICATE. We want to hear it. I want to hear it.

for people who have not modded pre-mare/pre-penumbra, i need to stress this: packing all your character mods into a single pmp does not make it safe from possible mod theft. it is VERY easy to extract raw files from a pmp in TT. do not share private mod files with people you do not fully trust.

this is an issue i've always wanted to bring up when it comes to the gpose community. many people make dark skinned characters, doing exactly what's pointed out in the video. people with deep skin tones do not find this flattering, but find it dehumanizing, using their skin as a flat background.

A lot of people quit out on learning how to make art early because they are product based and not process based. They want to see the end product look good and struggle all the way through the process and hate every minute of it. There’s a ton of comparison there, and it’s understandable. >
