Despite a slight post-shutdown bump, President Trump’s approval remains below pre-shutdown levels. His economic approval is still 14 points underwater, essentially unchanged from the lows seen during the shutdown, Liberation Day, and the tariff rollout.

When asked to identify the top most concerning of the Trump Administration’s shutdown expenses, a majority pointed to the $300 million East Wing demolition for a new ballroom. ✈️That was followed by 44% who flagged the $170 million in private jets for HHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

This year, Americans are heading into Black Friday with more economic worry than last year. Only 29% rate the U.S. economy positively, and 63% feel uneasy about their personal finances — up 13 points from 2024.
