Finishing up the year with some good news; entering the final stretch of development for a big update I'm planning. It started out just implementing procgen animals but I've gone and developed a magic system so its just a matter of filling that out and getting the creatures to play nice with it.

It is 3 in the morning and I have gotten custom night creatures to work. You know dwarf fortress eye of snodub and such I have gotten it so that when someone conquers your village they will SOMA(tm) you so bad and turn your copied ego into a gigantic murder robot. You'll also be able to be one.

ASCII is at once incredibly freeing creatively and offers up entirely new constraints in that you must convey one has encountered a hippopotamus-sized spider made of flesh and machinery equipped with a missile battery with only a single glyph and a short taxonomic classification.

I have been known to dabble in pixels from time to time. My posing is atrocious, proportions questionable, I don't know how to shade at all but I feel like this does an ok job of approaching Long Night aesthetics, at least for one particular faction or another. Others might be blockier or pointy.

I should probably nerf firing speeds

Working on procedurally generating every domestic animal for my mod. i've finally gotten the core system working. Difficulty and price calculators for all creatures have been added too, everything will dynamically gain those values as they are generated. Should add a lot more variety between civs.

I've said it earlier but it really was a pleasure to be here, and the mods were really cool too!

Scheming about the options the siege update will give me. Hoping for tanks and artillery, will settle for letting my already extant mechs punch through walls.

First bugfix for the Long Night is out, and honestly its not as bad as I expected. Still more to come ofc but this feels like a decently stable point. I may be speaking to early of course but still! Promising.
