as an aside, you should not want any npc/npc ships in xiv to be made canon. why? because the writers are bad at writing romance. do the alexander raids or the anthropology studium quests (botanist/miner) and get back to me on the quality of the romance writing in ffxiv

xiv writers having immensely detailed migratory lore on most of the races but literal scraps for viera like 🙃🙃🙃 i am SCROUNGING for literally ANYTHING

Me to this day having to explain to people that the physicality of XIV races is very mutable. If lore says "there's dozens of miqo'te subraces", then there's dozens of miqo'te subraces. The devs won't implement all of them, but the existence of only two ingame does not erase all of the others.

XIV writers have a lot of failings but they DO give us lore about the migratory patterns of the races and the cultural variances between them. We know the exact migration order the Raen took when they left the Steppe. We know where Garleans come from. I'm BEGGING y'all to look at lore.
