Fun Thanksgiving Fact! "Jingle Bells" was originally a Thanksgiving song, called "The One Horse Open Sleigh". Written in 1850 by James Lord Pierpont. Published in 1857, the song was written to be performed by a Sunday school choir for Thanksgiving. It was absorbed into Christmas by the late 1870s.
