It's clear I haven't visited Seattle's University District in a long time since I'm just learning about Barnes & Noble taking over University Bookstore. This is incredibly sad since the bookstore has been independent for 100 years and was one of my favorites for decades when I lived near there.

I can't say that I'll be boycotting Chili's as it has been years since I've been in one, and you can't really boycott a restaurant you already don't go to. That said, I'll be happy not to change my habits, transphobia leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.
