In @unrealengine.bsky.social 5.8, you can now easily set a node to development only or disabled via the right click menu. This a nice quality of life feature to enable by default, as it was previous hidden on an unassigned shortcut or experimental checkbox

Recently I was challenged on how we could approach optimising the AnimGraph for different target platforms. My solutions were to port my Blend Poses By LOD to switch on Platforms instead, and also to extend an AnimNode with a Platforms check (similar to the LOD Threshold).

It's awesome to see the Bone Mask & Copy Motion nodes finally available in @unrealengine.bsky.social 5.8 - been waiting so long to use them after they were teased two years ago at GDC 2024

Been working on the Rig Stack - a cheap, data-driven, hierarchical rigging solution for Unreal. Supports modular rig stacks (pose readers/resamplers, twist distribution, copy data & constraints) in either the Control Rig or AnimGraph. Still heavily WIP, but it's coming together!

Measuring non-XYZ angles for rigging (especially for collars) can be awkward, so I created a Control Rig node to measure arbitrary rotation planes. This is one of a variety of rigging nodes designed to streamline and simplify my processes while being lightweight and optimised (cost is <1μs).
