We had tickets to the New Beverly’s rare screening of Sidney Poitier’s THE LOST MAN (1969) tonight but the parking situation was dire. We ended up miraculously finding a shoddy copy of someone’s VHS to watch at home since this was a movie that I just couldn’t miss! #FilmSky

I was tempted to see CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF (‘58) on the big screen as part of The Academy Museum’s Paul Newman centennial celebration, but it passed me right by so we’re watching it at home tonight! It’s been far too long for me and it’s a first time watch for my husband!

Started this morning by testing another Old Hollywood recipe for the cookbook: Diana Dors’ Breakfast Bean Omelette! This was outstanding, but I have to admit that I couldn’t resist adding a little bit of cheese, which might not be very British of me!

I just tried my first Old Hollywood recipe of the year: Raquel Welch’s Wonder Soup! It’s a recipe for the health foodies which makes a great New Year’s start! Also, it’s supposed to be smoother than this but I ended up overloading my food processor. 😅

Great news! Mount Vernon Cemetery, which houses John Barrymore and members of his family, has been closed for nearly two decades. The cemetery’s fallen into disrepair, but the new year has brought a new owner! We’re one step closer to seeing Mount Vernon open and beautiful again!

Happy new year from the Richardsons! 🥳 I’m so grateful for the exciting memories we made in 2024 and I eagerly await the expansion of our little family in 2025! 💕

I love when stores aren’t aware of the treasures they have. I found this for $2 at Amoeba in Hollywood, but after Olivia Hussey’s passing, it means a great deal more than $2 to me. 🕊️💔

I’m truly devastated to learn about the passing of Olivia Hussey. She was an incredible and talented soul who deserved so much better in this life. I hope she’s finally at peace. 💔🕊️

Our baby shower at The Formosa Cafe today was so spectacular. We even got Bugsy Seigel’s booth! I didn’t take a lot of pictures of the event itself because we were having so much fun, but it meant the world to be surrounded by friends and family who are so excited about our baby girl’s arrival! 🥰💕

I just ordered my baby girl’s announcement sign and it’s all starting to feel so real. 🥹💕 I can’t believe she’ll be here in less than 11 weeks!

Today marks eight years without one of the most magnificent women to ever exist. I think about Zsa Zsa Gabor nearly every day, but today I particularly remember all she had to offer the world and how she continues to be adored. I feel so lucky to have shared this planet with her.

Tonight I tested Mary Philbin’s Brown Betty! I was so thrilled to finally use my new holiday Dutch oven and the dish turned out great! 🥰🎄

We may add more to the tree like candy canes and a skirt, but for now Christmas decorations are up! 🥰💕🎄 My sister and I each separately called the tree a Glinda tree! 😂

Diahann Carroll’s Sweet Potato Pie turned out almost as lovely as the lady herself! 😍 This was the only recipe that I was trying for the first time this year, so I’m glad nothing went terribly wrong! 😅

Part of our Old Hollywood Thanksgiving spread! 🦃 I made ham, Marilyn Monroe’s Stuffing, Pearl Bailey’s Mac and Cheese, Doris Day’s Stuffed Potatoes, and Lucille Ball’s Cranberry Sauce! Diahann Carroll’s Sweet Potato Pie is for dessert and it’s still in the oven! 🥰

Is my Old Hollywood Thanksgiving menu too ambitious this year? We’ll find out! 😂

Just stopped at Barnes & Noble at The Grove and the Christmas decor was so stunning! 😍 They had the best sale on these Little Golden Books and as a classic movie fan I just had to grab this one for my little one! It’s astonishingly well-researched and the art is lovely!
