Well, I did it. I am now set up to receive weekly Korean tutoring sessions with Dohee 도 ㅜㅣ. I don't yet know how to combine the ㅜ and the ㅣ to form the compound character yet. I'm rather nervous but Dohee is very patient and sweet.

In other news, I'm giving up on my solo Korean study. Currently researching Korean lessons. King Sejong Institute is in my area koreanamericancenter.org Most of the classes are online via Zoom. $300/semester, balking at the price, but if I want to get better, I need help. Biting the bullet...

I wasn't seeing the people I follow in my feed. Changed from discover to follow which helped but nowhere near enough. Someone suggested I hit the notification bell. Now I'm seeing every comment they make even on other people's posts. Isn't there a middle ground somewhere?

My attempts to have those I follow in my feed are still being thwarted. So, I just spent the last 3 hours muting accounts I don't follow and hiding their posts. Let's see how it is tomorrow. If this doesn't work, next step is blocking those accounts. Maybe then BlueSky's algorithm will understand

I’m a little freaked out rn. I started sneezing the past week, so did my cat. I noticed some eczema on both me and my cat recently. My cat has asthma, like me, & my Gianni before. Why do my cats’ symptoms match mine? Are they taking some of my emotional repercussions to help me? Or is it sympathy?

So. Google is making me jump through hoops to sign into my various gmails. I'm getting tired of this so I am looking into alternate email homes. I use one for spiritually based stuff, one for political, one for shopping/signing into stores, and one for everyday stuff. Actually I have 2 for that.

I learned something new today. I can direct my feed to incorporate the people's posts I want to see by hitting the bell icon on their home page. It's ok for you to laugh at how far behind the times I am. I love making people laugh. Just don't be cruel about it.

Today is a mixed bag. Every year I look for snow pants that will fit me so I can enjoy the winter weather without being too cold, but don't find them in my size. I shrunk into my "skinny" jeans so I looked and found some but they are out of my budget. Expensive. Maybe next month.

Writing an email in response to my Representative Ryan Mackenzie's newsletter where he crows about the success of the budget bill passing. I'll put the paragraphs in the comments because it's too long to put all of it here.

I've been making an effort to practice daily & am seeing improvement. At the very least I try to remember to tune my guitar and run through Lesson in A minor at least once daily. Today I didn't lose my place and only made a couple mistakes. So proud of myself for pushing to regain lost skills!

Heaving a sigh of relief this morning as my SNAP benefit not only posted but is double! Not sure what's going on but I'm not saying a word. I just wish it hadn't arrived on the backs of the already overburdened working class who will lose ACA breaks.
