Charles Norman Shay, a Penobscot combat medic, saved numerous soldiers during the first wave of the landing of Omaha Beach on D-Day. Veteran Shay passed away recently at the age of 101. We honor and thank Mr. Shay and the 44,000 Indigenous warriors who bravely fought in WWII. 🪶🇺🇸

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀’ 𝗗𝗮𝘆 (𝗜𝗣𝗗) - October 13 - is a time to celebrate the diverse and beautiful Indigenous communities across the globe. Since IPD was federally recognized, almost 29 states, including Washington DC, and 216 cities recognize IPD over Columbus Day.

🪶𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.🪶 In the U.S. alone, routine childhood vaccinations have 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱: ✅ 508 million cases of illness ✅ 32 million hospitalizations ✅ 1 million deaths (for children born between 1994 and 2023) The evidence is strong, and the impact is real—𝙫𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨. ❣️
