In addition to the uniquely non-human perspective that moves this story along, health as the thing that anchors the horror is a big theme, and is handled in a very direct way that reminds me of Todd Haynes’ Safe. Impressive to see a movie balance both themes as well as it does.

Ignore all the nerds who think Letterboxd is Yelp but for movies,this is good.

Not sure how I feel about the Halloween displays I see that use yellow crime scene tape. I see the googly-eyed goblin there, seems unlikely the PD would just seal him off like that, but I’m not really familiar with procedure when dealing with malignant supernatural beings tbh

“Is this what you want?” Fargo - the show, not so much the movie - pokes subtly into American politics by exploring fictional, but plausible stories where regular Americans with workaday anxieties scratch the violence below the surface of their lives. I’ve been thinking about this scene a lot

Through a miracle - or just a venue getting creative with audience dispersement when the seating distro got uneven - I went to see Air with a ticket in nosebleed seats, and ended up in the pit, right in front of the stage. Which is nice. #MoonSafari
