A little #firstpagefriday for a recent script I finished, in January. This feature film screenplay is an 85 page thriller, in the vein of films like LOCKE, PANIC ROOM, PHONE BOOTH and BURIED.

Still one of those bittersweet memories, as TOTAL FILM is no longer a printed magazine, but 7 years ago this was a big deal for me. My article was a tribute to the gloriously gory climax of DePalma’s SCARFACE. And 2 years later, I was delighted to have my first film reviewed in the mag too.

RIP Robert Duvall The Godfather parts 1&2, To Kill A Mockingbird, Network, Apocalypse Now, The Apostle, Colours, Rambling Rose, the list goes on. Duvall was one of THE great actors of his generation, never better than when playing characters going against their own morality. He was immaculate.
