That was not enjoyable

I really really want Slot to get it right and stay. But I struggle to see it now. Loads of the problems aren’t his fault but I was at Anfield for the last two matches and honestly no-one is making Slot keep Gakpo on the pitch until the end of every match.

Doubt the United States v Ev game stays this way but if it does then I think this league table is going to add an incredible amount of pressure on Slot and the lads.

Everyone who knows me knows I’m broadly a really positive Liverpool fan. I got a ticket for the match today and it’s even more poor in person than on tv. Isak wasn’t even pretending to try today, no pattern of play, nothing clever, nothing looks like it’s developing. First time I’m really worried.

Absolute legends, the pair of them, won it all and both lads played key parts in trophy winning games / seasons. Unashamed to say I love them

Focus this season now needs to be. 1. Get CL football 2. Win a trophy. Need some luck in FA Cup draw and / or a focus on CL. The latter looks tough to me. 3. Work out the best system to fly into next season and win it all then. It’s sad but we are where we are

Losing to a poor Utd team at Anfield hurts. Positives, Wirtz and Ekitike great off the bench, as was Frimpong, Grav was fantastic and so was Szobo. Negatives, losing to the scum, Gary Neville’s weird anti-Virgil commentary, Kerkez, Mac and Isak a worry. And Mo clearly grieving and needs a break.

These flags around Merseyside are really depressing. Nothing wrong with flags but putting them up to make immigrants feel threatened and to push a hard-right political agenda is sickening. I guess I just thought that as scousers we were largely above this sort of thing.
