This is Milleropsis pricei, a lizard-like stem reptile that lived during the Permian of Africa. A new paper published yesterday by @semifossorial.bsky.social and colleagues described the cranial osteology and neuroanatomy of this species. I did the illustration #paleoart #sciart #paleontology
