Getting traction on a new social media platform is hard. It's been a good week at Joinable!

By far the biggest challenge in this "rebuilding" process is to overcome network effects. When you're big, network effects are a great advantage, but when you're building something new (and better!) they are a huge barrier. How to get people to try Joinable when their friends aren't on it yet???

So we have this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity right now, as an industry, to rebuild a lot of our social sharing and communication infrastructure. Bluesky is rebuilding Twitter, but we also need Tiktok, LinkedIn, Facebook (the parts people still use), and Instagram to name a few.
