‼️Gillingham is being overrun by HMOs... & this is why It's shocking to see the town advertised as prime real estate for developers who want to cash in on "minimal licensing complexities" The unrestricted development of HMOs is damaging our communities. I want to change this

🇬🇧Last week, I visited the First Fusiliers in Salisbury. 👉🏾It was important to understand first-hand how we are modernising our warfare and adapting our training to respond to the growing possibility of conflict and increasing foreign threats.

📈A recent report found that the proportion of young people between 11-17 experiencing problem gambling rose 114% in one year. 👉🏾So yesterday, I asked the Minister for Culture, Media and Sport, @Lisa Nandy, what steps this government are taking to combat this worrying trend.

Gillingham Train Station sadly has one of the highest rates of attempted suicides. Thats why I was pleased to join @samaritans at #Gillingham this morning, who do such valuable work in supporting those who have feelings of isolation and disconnection.

Following the collapse of a ceasefire in Gaza, I asked the Foreign Secretary about the work being taken with international partners to ensure that vital aid reaches the Palestinian people. I’m concerned by Israel’s actions & the immense suffering & unacceptable loss of innocent lives in Gaza.
