Today I joined @repmcclinton.com, Rep. Mayes, the @womenslawproject.bsky.social and other stakeholders as we held a press conference to celebrate a major victory for reproductive health, rights, and justice in our state.

Water is a human right. Time and time again, we’ve seen public water systems in PA taken over by private companies. And every-time this happens, people are given the false promise that rates won’t rise only for water bills to shoot up shortly after.

I'm happy to see the restoration of the slavery exhibit at the President's House in Philadelphia. As Americans, we must learn from ALL of our history – the triumphs as equally as the stains and disasters. We must not accept anything less.

Our community has strong opinions and feelings about federal immigration enforcement actions. I hear you. I stand with you. We must all add our voices and say we have had enough of anonymous, unaccountable federal agents terrorizing our neighborhoods and trampling on our constitution.

The true strength of our nation lies in its diversity. We are at our best when we embrace our differences, and there is absolutely no room for racism—especially from those in leadership. We deserve leaders who promote unity, not division.

My colleagues and I are doing everything in our power to ensure the safety and security of our communities during this uneasy time. It is important to me that we pass actionable legislation that will protect each of you.

As a state legislator, I am doing all I can to ensure our communities and neighbors feel safe, while we are witnessing illegal actions and an over reach of power from ICE and Border Patrol. I encourage you to reach out to our U.S. Senators and make your voice heard about defunding ICE.

I am horrified by news headlines and videos over the past year, and especially this past weekend. I’ve heard from many of my constituents that they feel the same. Right is right and wrong is wrong. We must guard against any attempt to normalize these things.

Today marks 53 years since the Roe v. Wade decision and reproductive rights are under attack in America like never before. While abortion is still legal in PA, we must keep it that way. I will always fight to preserve your right to choose.

Breaking Down the Budget: We continue to increase investment into public education, programs to help working families, and continuing to care for our seniors all without raising taxes. Take a look at some of the highlights! 🔍📚📈

We now have a state budget. Today, I voted YES on balanced, bipartisan budget that creates jobs, invests in education, protects seniors, and does not raise taxes. It never should have taken this long. Our schools, communities, and nonprofits suffered with this delay.

I am calling for a full investigation into the error with the voter rolls today that led to Independents, unaffiliated, and third party voters not being listed in the poll books. All polling locations now have the updated poll books. Please read the letter below:

My abortion bill, H.B. 2005, passed out of the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday. This bill would remove the 24-hour waiting period and additional counseling requirements for abortion care. My bill does NOT eliminate informed consent.

I spoke on the House floor today as my Resolution celebrating Taiwan’s National Day passed with strong bipartisan support. It’s more important than ever that we maintain the economic, educational, and cultural ties between Pennsylvania and Taiwan.

This week, I voted YES on all 4 common sense gun bills on the House floor. Unfortunately, only one bill (HB 1593) passed the House. I am extremely disappointed that all of the bills did not pass. We need to do more to protect our law enforcement officers and community.
