I've unfortunately been sick which has slowed things down, but I've been making it work! I've now practiced with three (3!!) different commentary partners and gotten an upgrade to my main team 🎉 I've also been memorizing pokemon speed tiers since it's a good small activity I can manage right now 😅

I need them to find a way to sell cinnamon roll making kits that don't involve exploding cylinders. I'm not strong enough for that! I don't want to have to endure a firework blast jumpscare at close range for my delicious breakfast!! 😭

When I told my mom about my "silly goal to be a pokemon commentator" she immediately said "that's not silly - that's a goal" ❤️ I do things she doesn't always understand (like speedrun hosting) but she just wants me to be happy. Finally installed pokemon home to get a specific pokemon into champions. It was garganacl. The only explanation I can offer is Fatales.

It's been a week and things are going great 🎉 I've practiced both solo and duo comms and worked on my pacing and focus, improved my gameplay and managed to get top 3% in the global challenge, and found a community of Fatales that are making the game even more fun 😄 Long way to go, but happy so far ❤️

IT'S OFFICIAL!!! 11,319th out of over 400k entrants 🎉 That's top 3%!!! In the world!!!! In my first tournament!!!!! And yes most people probably just played the 3 matches for the reward and I know that's not a super impressive result but again for being new and bringing my own team I'm so so happy ❤️

Played around 7 hours of pokemon this weekend (10 if you count the Fatales call) because I decided to go all in and play the max 45 games in the global challenge and I'm so glad I did. Multiple times I wanted to quit because I was afraid I'd lose out but I went on a 6-win streak at the end 🎉

Just had a Pokemon Champions hangout in the Fatales server and it was so fun - lots of friendly matches (both with serious teams and bunny teams) and we even built a team together 🎉 I love that even though I've never had VGC friends before, Fatales makes it easy to find some 😄❤️

I haven't talked about this much, but it's been a long shot goal of mine for years to one day be a pokemon vgc commentator, but it's never felt like the right time to really go for it. With champions, maybe that time is now and I should commit to putting the work in to making it a possibility 🤞

I want to go get my switch from my computer to play more pokemon but I can't possibly interrupt this restful cuteness so I'll have to wait until later 🐰❤️

I DID IT I'M A POKEMON MASTER!!!! :D :D :D I'm so proud of myself for going for this and for learning enough to make it this far :D It was my own custom built team all free with no pokemon home and WE DID IT!!! Definitely going to keep playing this game and getting better, but dang I'm so happy 😄🎉

I thought I'd need to learn a pro team to get to master ball rank, but I got to ultra 2 yesterday and ultra 1 today with two or three chances at master with my homemade team - I think if I just keep going for it I can get there 👀 I'm improving and making fewer dumb mistakes so hopefully I make it 🤞

Pokemon battles are so much fun - I had my first battle tonight where I really felt like I played well and made good moves and it's such a high 😄 It was easy mode because it was a casual match where they didn't have a good answer for my mega, so I'm still not great and have a lot to learn, but yay 🎉

I swear that when you go on a losing streak and derank in champions the game puts you up against a bot for your next ranked match so you don't get frustrated and quit, but honestly it's really insulting and annoying. Those wins are pathetic and unsatisfying. Let me be bad! It's ok! I'll get better!
