I wrote a blog post about my book! Want some ramblings about fairy ladies, magical princesses, and serpent women (and how we should feel about them)? Or just curious about how reading medieval romance is like watching Star Wars?? It's all here, folks (and also a 35% discount 👀)!

Real-Life Fabliaux:
#RunawayNuns
In the 1300s, three nuns from St. Clement’s by York had better things to do. ✨ Cecily saw a group of horsemen, threw off her habit and went with them. She lived in Darlington with a man I hope was part of the troupe for the next three years.

Bird nests made from anti-bird spikes?! 🤯 Hi, I'm a nest researcher 👋 and new here on BlueSky, sharing the craziest

nests I've ever found. 👀 Today, I’m sharing my discovery of rebellious birds that build nests out of anti-bird spikes. And honestly, it's like telling a joke... A thread. 🧵

Frankly, I find these takes obnoxious. Sure, it’s not wrong, but the whole “we can’t project modern labels onto the past” is ✨only✨ ever used for marginalized identities. If you don’t write about not assuming people in the past are cis/straight, then don’t write this.
