Bribing myself for getting through 2x 25 minute online presentations by promising that I can go to bed after. These infections (& maybe mh) are still kicking my bum - I got up at 9am & promptly fell asleep on the sofa for 2.5 hours and now all I can think about is sleeping more.

I have someone coming to my house tomorrow to take blood for some study the mental health team are taking part in (I get £50 in return for the sample) and I am SO dreading it. I'm going to have my mum on facetime to be safe and just imagining what I can spend the £50 on...

This weekend's f***-it button after a traumatic Friday was to get a colouring book. I was feeling guilty, then remembered what my f***-it buttons used to be like...home, whole, and with a new colouring book isn't as bad as it first felt 😄

Finally caught up with the lecture I missed because of colonoscopy. Not reversing back into my cocoon.

Today is one of those days where I have barely hung on by my fingernails

This is what I feel. If I can take a few minutes to bring the smallest bit of light to someone's life, then that is important and that is enough.

I just realised it is heading toward the end of the financial year so if you are getting DWP communications or letters, know that they may be the end of year updating for housing, checking nothing has changed etc.

Well the bowel prep is still prepping and I have to be back up for the second dose in 5 hours! FFS, I'm going to be a bloody zombie tomorrow.

Tea and biscuit before I'm nil by mouth. Going out for a family dinner that I won't be able to eat this evening 🤦‍♀️ then home for the worst bit of bowel prep.

Day 3 of colonoscopy prep and I am fed up with it! Constant nausea and cramps, as well as obviously the desired effect, which isn't pleasant 24/7.

Feeling just overall fragile and unsettled but I can't put my finger on why...feeling like I'm going entirely out of my mind.

I'm trapped! 😍

Tomorrow, the plan is to attempt the exam that they moved from last week. I have until Monday to complete it online.

Swabs confirm that the mouth infections are still bad, now moderate-heavy growth compared to heavy growth before. We're about 6 weeks in now, which is getting me down!

Went back to bed after 9am mentoring and just woke back up. I didn't sleep at all last night, so it was very needed. Now time to appraise a paper. Either doing the whole thing or stop for lunch ar 1.30, whatever is soonest, as I'm still feeling rubbish.

Finishing the day grateful to have a warm bed, 3 cats nearby, & small bits of productivity. I managed to let myself rest whilst also getting an hour of studying done & doing a small amount of colouring. Ending the day in a better position to yesterday& revelling in the gratitude of small victories.

I know it's self-centred, but I can't bear to look at the news atm 😟

An important one! I put things off, waiting until I'm ready, & get myself stressed up that I'm never prepared enough...yet it is instead important to note that 'enough' is never achievable with my perfectionism, & actually isn't necessary. Do the things you love or want to do, don't wait for never.

5 days of colonoscopy prep has started. How fun 😞

A bit of a mess. Trying to not jump straight to insulting myself over that and recognising that when I am physically unwell, my mental health also takes a nose dive, but it is hard.

The stuff that makes lofe livable for suicidal people is also stuff that would improve our society: Housing, physical & mental healthcare, a living wage, social connection, addiction rehab, support for victims of crime, trauma informed care, social care, legal protection of human rights etc.

These families are trying their best but suicide is the only public health crisis where the solution offered is signposting to a charity. People don't die by suicide because they don't know that the Samaritans exist. There are lots of causes that we can act on.

I can't face my **** of a seminar leader tomorrow, it's making me not want to go in with every fibre of my being. And it's his module, so likely to be even more insufferable. I've done all the prep but he has put the fear of god in me, that he will purposely try to trip us up.
