Back to Singapore now. Had a really good trip and a perfect reset to my mental state, with a much better understanding of what matters to me. Looking forward to what's next.

Picked up my iPhone 17 Pro Maxes and other goodies from the Apple Store! The USA iPhones are dual-eSIM versus the hybrid approach elsewhere, which gives them more battery life without the physical SIM tray.

All the other #UniversalStudios Hollywood's #HalloweenHorrorNights experiences were also super impressive. The Terror Tram (replacing the Studio Tour) was so cool going through all of Blumhouse's horror movies. Really detailed sets!

I flew all the way to Los Angeles specifically for the Five Nights at Freddy's haunted house at #UniversalStudios Hollywood's #HalloweenHorrorNights - worth it! Loved the animatronics and immersion. Beautiful sets and merch too.

And a 13 hour day at #Disney California Adventure, concluding my line up of Disney Parks this year. Haven't been here since 2006, so much has changed! The Guardians of the Galaxy ride is awesome. I've seen Nick and Judy in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Los Angeles in three weeks!

Farewell Japan, I'll see you again in a few months. Now off to USA for more theme parks and to reconnect with friends! Final leg of the trip that's boosted my mental health and helped me rediscover doing things solo - while knowing I'm surrounded by friends I can always count on.

Had to return again to the Lush Spa and try their Sticky Dates bath, simply because the Sticky Dates Bath Bomb is a Lush Spa exclusive and can't be bought! It's my favorite line in all of Lush. Quite an experience too!

Visited the largest Lush Store in Asia, located at Shinjuku! There is a Spa service here, did their signature "Synaesthesia" treatment. Choosing from two moodboards, my selection was "Resilience" and "Acceptance, With Love". Wonderful experience, "transported to Dorset, England".

Few years ago, I did a Resident Evil Haunted House at #UniversalStudios Japan’s #HalloweenHorrorNights, with immersive live acting and QTEs. It's why I love coming back to #USJ! This year's Night of Heroes show has action happening all around, with various characters appearing.

Awesome time at Universal Studios Japan's Halloween Horror Nights! Their shows, haunted houses, and scare zones were incredibly immersive - lots of emphasis on live performances and everyone is so passionate and talented. Always love how locals try and dance along for the shows, lots of energy.

Ah, forgot to post this. The AMEX Centurion Lounge at HKG has a jelly beans dispenser.

Impossible to capture all the wonders of Osaka Expo 2025 in a single post. So many countries coming together to showcase global collaborations and the best of their cultures. If I had to sum it up in one word: Hope - for a future without the anger and division we see in the world today.

The Gundam Pavilion at Osaka Expo 2025 belongs in a theme park - it's one of the most impressive displays I've ever seen in this format, following a simulated ride to space and attack. The directional sound and rumble was perfect. This alone made the whole Expo visit worth it.

First day of Osaka Expo 2025 today, learned a lot from the few pavilions I managed to enter! It's mad crowded but each country and organization put so much effort in. Had to check out Singapore first! The production is so vast - wish we had something like this back home :P

Had a HKExpress flight from HKG to KIX that cancelled on me last minute, shifted to a later flight... That had a long delay for landing as a UA plane caught fire at KIX so no planes could land. But nice and snug in my Osaka Hotel at the end, on Discord calls and feeling good :3

Had a lovely time in Hong Kong, special shout out to the Hong Kong Furs for meeting up and having such a nice dinner :3 Nice to see Australian friends I met at LIFC too!

Sweltering day at #HKDisneyland! Even having an umbrella wasn't enough to stop the heat. It's their 20th Anniversary, so there's lots of festivities going on. The new Friendtastic Parade has beautifully designed floats. No issue 100%ing the park on a weekday! #Disneyland #Disney

At a very empty Ocean Park today, the only one on rides at times. Finished the whole park more than 2 hours before the place closes, while taking a nice casual scroll through the exhibits too. The Halloween stuff are slowly coming up!

The journey begins! I’m heading off on a theme park adventure and taking some time for myself to close out my sabbatical with a bang. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be in Hong Kong, Osaka, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and San Francisco - catching up with friends along the way.

Checking up on Universal Studios Singapore in the lead up to Halloween Horror Nights, nice seeing the sets start to appear. Also nice to see some new live shows, though Waterworld is still not running in recent times and for the rest of the year.

Checked out the Nowhere Baths at Dempsey, it's pricier than Yunomori but truly tranquil, given they really limit the number of people and encourage quiet reflection. Definitely found calm there, while soaking, watching squirrels in the trees outside. No photos inside though!
