The Shire has gone full on Spring Mode just like our website. We've been beavering away on an app design project. We have a new iPad which is as disappointing as Google's new AI design tool Stitch. At least there are now Tintin LEGO minifigs in the world.

I just cleaned out under the kitchen bookshelf and have retrieved the ultimate in middle class detritus: A LEGO space nose cone, a collection of oil painting brushes, an Apple Airpod Pro earpiece and a sad-looking kumquat.

I think I've gone a bit mad reading this book. I have added some more real and imagined locations to the map. The novel is really McEwan's best in years and I highly recommend it. It reminds me of David Mitchell (Cloud Atlas) with more nobbing and less clones.
