It seems totally irrelevant now, but I picked up the latest issue of DuckTales today, featuring the return of Fenton Crackshell.

Another Halloween has come and gone…

Fluffy and Mervin were created back in 1992-93 for a comic that ran in my college newspaper. The cat was named after my pet cat. (I was also thinking of the simplicity of the name Snoopy from Peanuts). The mouse made his debut four months later. “Mervin” just goes well with “Mouse”. #dailyocs

I’ll be doggoned, as the Disney characters would say. I didn’t realize until I read the credits in the book that the cover for “Epic Mickey: The Comics Collection” is by Noel Van Horn! I love that!

Did Mickey and the Roadster Racers get their start this way? Probably not, but this looks like one of the earliest Gottfredson strips featuring Donald Duck driving a car. I like how the car reacts to Donald being pulled over by a traffic cop.

I found the inked version of this weird sketch! There was a Disney “What If…?”. This would be the Disney “What The…?!?”

Drop someone EATING:

Poor Usagi. The anime writers just wouldn’t give her a break. Even when she just saved the day, the next moment, she’d trip over her shoelaces or someone would be putting her down for being too emotional. She wasn’t perfect, but that’s what we loved about her.
