Listening to the soundtracks to Looney Tunes Cartoons without watching the cartoons themselves is an often surreal experience. The way the music speeds up and slows down and occasionally feels like it gets stuck hits differently without the cartoon visuals.

The odd things that I find while reorganizing my bookshelf:

Name your favorite film that flopped. Popeye. Is it a perfect film? No. Is it an endearing movie that has charm to it even as it boldly makes weird decisions that will lose most of your mainstream movie audience? Yes.

Today’s comic shop purchase: “Archie’s Movie Mania”, which doesn’t really tie into any of the movies listed on the back with the exception of the cover art. But despite the weak connection to the title, it’s still an enjoyable collection of Archie comics.
