When I go to protests here in Chicago, I always run into friends and activists who are involved in myriad ways. Certain cynical leftists have a misconception that if you are at a protest, you aren't also doing other things, where the most impactful people see them one of many complimentary tactics.

City looking positivity Tolkienesque this evening

I was a little skeptical of letting my nearly four year old watch Spidey and His Amazing Friends, but this episode with The Thing celebrating Hanukah after the team recover's his aunt's stolen latkes really did it for me.

From what I've seen on the local parent facebook group, this was a teacher at a Spanish immersion daycare and she was pulled out of the building in front of children and parents. I cannot even wrap my head around this depravity.
