I don't think it really means anything. I am surprised how close the PS1 and PS3 were; feels a lot longer due to being a kid when it happened. I'm sure that for mid-range developers it's nice to have a consistent hardware platform. PS1(1994) PS3 (2006) = 8 years PS4(2013) Now (2026) = 13 years

My issue with AI code editors isn't that "AI is for losers who are diamonds have small pepees" buuttt that the editors will constantly try to sneak unrelated stuff into what I'm doing. It becomes a very tense exercise since I never know if what I typed is going to be what ends up in the file.
