Today, two different neighbors walked nearly our entire block with their snowblowers, clearing sidewalks. It was a small act of kindness that made a big difference for those of us shoveling! And a good reminder that sometimes it's nice to live in close proximity to people.

Got my 9 mile run accomplished this morning before the snow came. Temps were between 4-6°F. By mile 5, my water and nutrition were frozen.

Spent the day in hill country at Texas' largest known cavern. Something about the scale of time and space here was so calming... It takes 100 years for dripping water to build approximately one cubic inch of this place. This has been here long, long before us and will be here long after we're gone.

I'm dog sitting for a beautiful Newfie named Freyja. Every time I move, she barks at me. Lol I thought if I spent some time reading in the house with her she'd relax about me but right now I think she's like, "yo, get out of my house." 😂

Today, I was a guest on a podcast for work. Just as I unmuted myself to talk, I exchanged a glance with Oatie who proceeded to meow at the top of his lungs and then climb to the second highest bookshelf (almost the ceiling) and toss heavy (loud) objects off. I had to stop, apologize, and evict him.

Indoor Christmas stuff is 90% down (I decided it's too cold to deal with the outside, though I'm no longer keeping it lit). I'm already thinking about tomorrow, and I'm just generally feeling a little depressed to be honest...
