Today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day, something close to my heart. My Dad served two tours in Vietnam and came home changed, joining anti-war protests, where he met my mom ❤️ I’m thankful that two of my daughters were able to know him. Thank you to my Dad and all Vets for your sacrifices.

The activities of ICE are concerning to many RIers. ICE agents operate without identification, and do not cooperate with local enforcement. ICE must operate within the bounds of the law. I will not hesitate to take Trump and ICE to court when they overstep their authority or put residents at risk.

This is the day I was sworn in as an attorney in R.I. in 2009. Justice Goldberg welcomed my parents, my then girlfriend (and now wife) Jenna and her parents to the Supreme Court. I am forever grateful to the Judge for swearing me into the RI Bar, and being a mentor to me, all these years later.

I am deeply grateful to Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg for her decades of extraordinary service to Rhode Island’s judiciary and to our state. Her retirement is an incredible loss for our courts, but her legacy will continue to shape Rhode Island law for generations to come. #GoldbergTrained
