Hey, fellow artists. How do you prevent your renders from getting stiff? This is a big issue in my work and I’m trying to solve it.

Check for where the centre of mass is, check for twists, secondary movements, expressions (of faces and hands), check for your invisible composition flow lines and make sure the overall composition is serving or being served by your shapes. Have your sketch up so you don't drift too far from it.

Got hit by a sinus headache / maybe migraine this afternoon and I am laid up on the couch. No art stream today, sorry. I’ll be back tomorrow.

Tonight I passed my first two #DDR twelves and hit 12k in #ITG - I’m also starting to barely be able to handle some ITG 8s now. :) I couldn’t pass DDR 9-10s last year, or ITG 7s even three months ago. I’m really excited. My acc is still low and I miss notes but that’ll come with time. :)

I definitely messed up my left shoulder last night. I’m familiar with this injury and it’s happened before; it’s just nerve impingement. My left hand is weak and my ring and pinky finger are tingly / numb on and off. Bleh. That’s irritating. Thankfully I draw with my right hand.

To give y’all some context; I’ve been making art since I was 16 or so. Let’s say 6 hours a day, to average (sometimes I didn’t make any art, sometimes I spent way more than hours a day.) Putting that to *21* years of my life making art almost every day? That’s about 45-50k hours of my life.
