There are positives to getting older, like being able to retire, but boy your body starting to let you down is the downside. I’m lucky to be pretty physically good but for someone who really loves music having tinnitus and a hearing loss is a f***ing downer.

So many awful SM comments about @cmatbaby.bsky.social after her wonderful Radio1 weekend appearance. Why do people do it? I feel ashamed to be a man sometimes. Beauty is not in what you look like, it is how you make others feel. Her music makes me feel great.

Invited one of our new neighbours for a barbeque lunch with us today. She brought me a bag of Rock Samphire. So thoughtful. Just need to work out what to serve it with now. Fish is the obviously answer, but I wonder what else it would go with. Don’t even know if I like it until tasting it. 😁

2 observations after living in Cornwall for 6 months. 1. Blimey, the places (towns, villages, hamlets) are so “tribal”. 😳 2. The people (locals and “incomers”) are really friendly. 😁 (Based upon throwing ourselves into any opportunity to try and get to know people & to try & make new friends.)

6 months tomorrow since we moved to Cornwall and it still feels like we are on holiday. 😁 Long may it continue.

Losing the HiFi for 3-4 weeks whilst we have some work done in the house is not good. Thankfully have a “fallback” solution in the kitchen (where we shall be living for the period of the works.), but no ability to play vinyl. 😢 Time for Tidal to shine. 😁

The UK has to get a grip on ballooning debt, unsustainable welfare, creaking NHS, ageing population, increasing geopolitical instability, unreliable US partner, stifled trade with EU, energy and environmental crisis. Next leader has to be brave enough to trim welfare spending, invest in growth.

So #SaintsFC announced ticketing details for the playoff final yesterday only to be asked by the EFL to take them down. You just know it’s because the EFL want the game to kick off at 17:30, and Hull (quite rightly,if so) have objected because their fans wouldn’t be able to get home after the game.🤷

I read the Kit Shepherd piece on #SaintsFC this morning. I feel let down by the actions of the club and, whatever the outcome of the spygate enquiry and, I have little enthusiasm for watching the play off final. Didn’t expect to feel like this after being a season tkt holder for 30 years. ☹️

I feel like technology is regressing. I’ve just downloaded an RSS reader so that I can read blogs that I like without using the likes of Substack etc. (Yes I know it’s different tech but some people I like to read are moving back to newsletters/blogs/RSS feeds)

So #Saintsfc have announced the sale details for the playoff final. Will be chaos if the EFL throw them out for Spygate now?!
