Latest Viessmann installation. Part of a deep retrofit in an old Victorian property Tatton Park. 40°c flow temp on 23 beautiful cast radiators that have arrived from all different areas, Krane, Beeston, and the Big Apple!

We are up to temp and lagged.. time to get a whiskey! 🥃 The first Viessmann in Mull as well as the first NewarkCylinders x Heatgeek cylinder. Maybe my most favourite job I’ve ever done, the place is magnificent! The build was something else, around 13w/m2 it will end up.

Last week I was at ISH. My first time going, this year I went with Esbe where I was on a panel having a discussion about the Uk Heatpump market. I also got too meet the godfather of heatpumps there Thomas Nowak. One thing for sure was that it was hard to find any gas boilers!!

Heatpump moved this week to make access for service and maintenance easier and safer. Loads more faults found as we worked, electrics were terrible. The company doesn’t exist anymore who fitted it, why they ever put it there I can’t fathom.

Last job of the year finished! Vaillant 5kw Arotherm plus. All ufh throughout. 42° design temp (floor coverings and max floor temps made this one quite difficult to get right direct) and m. Purpose built insulated garage cupboard.

Even more obstacles now for fitting heatpumps. The ENA connect was supposed to make life easier, not harder.

I’m after measuring u values, anyone know of somebody or a company that does this? I don’t want to calculate them I actually want to measure them with sensors or equipment,

A long week up in Middlesbrough. A Viessmann 4kw 150-a and 300l Oso cylinder. Stelrad columns and Vita Decos to provide the heating. 1.9kw load at -3°c.

Back up heaters kill performance sooooo much it’s actually scary.

We knew it was coming at some point… Hopefully the storm can be weathered.

Great to see the permitted development and planning rules change regarding heatpumps! A big change that will affect role out massively, hats off to everyone involved.

Such good fun doing it and having a consistently warm house is wonderful. No more electric blankets, changing the summer duvet to winter, gas standing charge, waiting for hot water, etc. Already looking good on OEM: heatpumpmonitor.org/system/view?...

A Vaillant Arotherm completed today. Heatpumps always look better in the snow!! This was for @snecklifter.bsky.social Coupled with existing a solar and battery set up he now has the holy trinity in low carbon tech! He also did the internal system work himself.
