I was gonna try self-hosting a matrix server (discord alternative) on my server before going to sleep. That was before I saw the amount of configuration it needed before being ready. I'm gonna choose sleep I think.

I think I'm gonna start working on this tonight, I still don't know what to use for the client side. Should I use Godot or a web framework like React? I'm scared if I do it in the web it will be a mess dealing with pixel art textures

I feel like an updated version of pictochat with friends, servers and audio calls would be a banger in 2026. (kinda like discord but pictochat if you will)
