Finished the Elwing wig!

Oh, just sewing some pearls and beads into my Elwing wig.

Everything is finished for the Elwing #cosplay except the cloak with layers of seafoam and seawater for the reveal! I wish I had tracked how many hours of beadwork I put into this. Including shoes, dress hem and neckline, belt, and headpiece, probably around 200, if I had to guess. #luinellë

I particularly love the imagery of Fingolfin's arrival in Mithrim: Sun flaming behind him, blue and silver banners, flowers springing beneath his feet. It's so dreamy and powerful. #luinellë

How nerdy am I? So nerdy that I made a combined Elvish family supertree on a whiteboard with the lines of Finwë, Olwë, Elwë, and Elmo included for my Silmarillion book club. At the start of each meeting, I'm gonna cross off characters as they 💀 and add characters as they enter the story/are born.

Took advantage of some nice lighting this evening and I was able to get a couple that show the blended light AND the rest of the prettiness without darkening it. 🤍💛

Working on the hair styling! I'll be wrapping some small crystals and beads onto the headpiece with seafoam green wire. I think it needs two more strands of pearls to weave into the hair maybe though? Or should I just weave the two short strands in instead of draping them? I dunno....
