It’s always about the money!

I think about this often. Not just hate, but the circumstances of our birth. Some of us get opportunities not always available to all. So we should be kind and always be willing to help others.

Started working on this blanket last year, using Freia Fibers MiniKins combined with a strand of black fluff (alpaca or mohair, whatever I had). Yesterday, I was down to the last skein and decided to just finish it! Looks even better on the sofa. #handknit #handmade #knitting #blanket #knitsky

Another scarf finished! The yarn, hand-dyed by HauteKnit Yarn did all the work! The plaid just happened because of the yarns I was using (Pretty in Peach and Neon Animal Notebook). I do like working with these yarns and the result is an amazingly soft, colorful scarf! #handwoven #weaving #handmade

I was able to get a couple scarves made this past week. I love using hand-dyed yarns! They never disappoint. These scarves are both soft and lightweight. The pink scarf is made with yarn from Polymorph Dye Works, the brown from Dyed by M. Joao. #weaving #handwoven

We live in a time dominated by deeply unserious people making deeply unserious arguments in support of tragically serious results that serious people would have both avoided and known to avoid.

Instead of spending $50 billion to bankroll Trump’s criminal war on Iran, we could: -Extend ACA subsidies for one year -Restore SNAP benefits for 2.4 million people -And ensure Medicaid coverage for nearly 2 million people It’s not about what we can afford. It’s about priorities.

There is a very wide lane for Dems to put up this chart and say, ‘What if we simply didn’t do this.’ And showed how we could re-allocate the same money providing healthcare, infrastructure, etc. while still providing for policing/security.

We are spending an estimated $1B per day on the war on Iran. Now Trump and Co want an extra $200B from Congress to fund the war. But healthcare? Cut. Food stamps? Cut. Education? Cut. Cancer research? Cut. Environmental protections? Cut. And of course, taxes on the rich? Cut. It's obscene.

Trickle down economics has always been a hoax!
