Does my art mean something special to you? I've been making drawings for a while. Sometimes, I hear warm n fuzzy things about the impact they've had anecdotally, and now I want to formally collect these stories in a small survey.

I tried to find and turn off all the Gmail auto-suggest settings I could, but I must be missing something because it still suggests AI-generated emails for me. I don't want Gmail to tell me to write. This is all very frustrating.

So much time would be saved for Windows users if you could just ctrl+f in Explorer and start typing part of a file or folder name and the first result is immediately focused, just like how ctrl+f works in a browser, instead of dealing with the shitty Explorer search bar and search results.

I thought about whether it's true that illustrators get less feedback online... I looked back at some really, really early posts I made from 15 years ago and despite how crude the drawings were, the comments section was definitely thriving. It does feel like ppl are stretched thin and interact less

When I was like eleven years old, I was obsessed with drawing in MSPaint with a mouse, and I would shade drawings by using the pencil tool to make edges between shadow values and fill them in. Now, I carry on the same basic technique: draw regions of shadow with hard edges and blur them smooth.

On a flight, I notice acutely how hard it is to control what my eyes - and my attention - do in an environment surrounded by distractions. I do not want to be aware of what movie Joe from two aisles ahead of me is playing on his screen, or what the person seated next to me is doing on her phone.

awugh makeup is pretty intimidating? when I try to learn more about it from the internet, there are always obscure intermediate steps to everything that feel like gotchas that will reveal that I don't know what I'm doing, and I feel like a loser for learning from internet tutorials.
