Wow. As of 10:15 on the last day of filing, there are 15 Senate Districts and 29 House Districts where no Republican has filed. By contrast, there are DFLers running in every single one.

Democracy is messy, and no candidate, party, process, or voter is perfect. But the difference could not be clearer.

I’ve seen Ben in action and he’s the real deal. He knows his stuff and he genuinely cares about Minnesotans. He’s going to be an excellent partner for our next Governor and DFL majorities in #mnleg!

Today, we learned that Congresswoman Craig would not be joining us at the DFL endorsing convention in Rochester. If you can’t face your own party, you’re not ready to face a Republican. I’ll still be working hard to earn your endorsement. I hope to see you there!

This is actually why I think having both works better than either one individually. Endorsements empower candidates who can excite and organize, but the primary means that they still have to, you know, win votes.

Minnesotans are demanding action to prevent gun violence. And if Republicans aren’t willing to vote for the bill, they should at least be brave enough to do that so we can see.

The child care crisis is real and it’s holding all of us back. Locally-based solutions can help and will pave the way, but we won’t make meaningful progress until the state takes bigger steps.

Completely deleting a voters’ record after they die might sounds like it’s a good idea - Republicans sure think so - but it actually takes away a check to prevent voter fraud.

Today, the House Education Finance Committee was supposed to hear a bipartisan, Republican-led bill to save special education funding from $250 million in cuts. The committee didn’t get a chance to do that though, because Republicans chose to waste hours bullying trans kids on the House Floor.

House Rs' last move before the break was to vote against preventing gun violence. Their first move coming back from break is try and force us to pick on trans kids. To quote @leighfinke.bsky.social, Minnesotans know what is a problem and what is not a problem.

*mushroom clouds erupt* "Yeah, but at least we got to pick on high school kids playing sports."

It’s Spirit Week at 7YO’s school, and Friday is Green Day (it’s their school color). So I told her “I hope you have the time of your life”. And I realized that me referencing that song is equivalent to my parents referencing “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” when we were that age.
