It was an honour to welcome members of HMCS Ottawa to City Council with Councillor Steve Desroches. They have returned from a deployment to the Indo-Pacific, where they served with great distinction on Operations NEON and HORIZON.

The Algonquin College Alumni Awards celebration was really special. Congratulations to the team at Kinaxis who received the ‘Employer of the Year’ award and to all the recipients.

It was an honour to visit the Kanata Legion for their annual Remembrance Day lunch with Councillors Cathy Curry and Allan Hubley, and MP Jenna Sudds. It’s been a meaningful day, and I’m grateful to share it with such amazing people who care deeply about our veterans and our community.

I was honoured to join the community at the Barrhaven Cenotaph with Councillor David Hill, ICD.D and Councillor Wilson Lo to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. Thank you to everyone who came together to remember.

It was my pleasure to join Councillor Theresa Kavanagh and members of the community at Britannia Park for the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Blood Red Memorial Flagpole as we paid tribute to the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our country.

So grateful to be able to spend a bit of time with our firefighters at their Remembrance Day breakfast before they head out to ceremonies across the city to honour and remember those who have served our community.

What a fun time at the Orléans Cork & Fork Festival with Councillor Kitts! Ottawa has an amazing culinary scene, and events like this really showcase our talent. It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves.

I’m grateful for the Federal Government’s support, through the new Build Communities Strong fund, for the expansion of the Bob MacQuarrie Recreation Complex - Orléans. This investment will give our growing community the space it needs.

There were a lot of City employees that brought their kids to City Hall. It was fun to meet them and tell them about all the amazing work their parents do for our city.

As we begin Veterans week (November 5-11), I look forward to honouring the late Elsa Lessard by naming a street in her honour.

It was great to have SAAS NORTH Conference back in Ottawa this year at the Rogers Centre Ottawa! It’s the perfect place to showcase our growing tech industries and meet incredible local companies driving innovation.

It was a packed house at the OBOT post-budget breakfast. It was great to connect with Jenna Sudds, Mona Fortier, Ryan Turnbull and the community. I shared my thoughts about the federal budget and what it means for our city, our residents, and our economy.
