I don't know how to describe how heartbreaking it to see someone you love fall more into addiction over the course of years and change into something dark because of it, someone you probably would have married, then they chose their addiction over you. It hurts, it hurts a lot.

This summer I did whole 30, learned a lot about foods my body doesn't agree with, climbed a 14er almost every week, and really got out there doing cool shit. I lost 16lbs and I feel so proud of myself. It was really hard but I feel a lot better about myself.

Protip: when someone tells you they started motorcycling, don't immediately start asking them if they're worried about being killed or how you have some horror story of someone dying. New sled! Eeeeeee. I am so unbelievably happy with this thing. So many nice features, so fast (third fastest snowmobile), and the colors are so me.

I've been going to the gym to walk very slowly on the treadmill. It's going to be frustrating that I can't actually workout for 2 weeks while I'm healing but it at least feels good to be moving.

Just had a check up appointment to have the splints removed. Holy shit, these are massive. I had no idea! The stitches went through my septum and were awful. I cried when they were removed. It was awful. Still more healing to go but I feel a lot better now.

This little guy is propping himself up on the pile of 3 pillows that I've been using just like me.

They are starting to be friends now after 10 years of not.

Ice packs and cold soup are my life now.

I've been trying to eat veggies every meal lately, but I could use some suggestions for breakfast options.

So foggy this morning

I've been having a rough time lately and the stress is really starting to get to me both mentally and physically. Last night was something of a breaking point in me. I decided to take the time today to try to make myself look nice even though I didn't leave home all day.

Feels so good to finally be working 8 hour days again, I've been going on Discord with @asheswolf.bsky.social, and it's really helped me out with staying at the desk. Feels like I've got a coworker, despite us running two different businesses.

We went to the Christmas market and the wildlife ornament shop and I went in with the goal of finding a sea lion. I can't believe I actually found one, it made me so happy.
