一般論や一般的に知られていることもtheがつくというけど、そもそもそれが一般論なのか英語話者の間で知られているのか判断ができない。それ故に文化も学ばないとな。

People often misunderstand that Japanese people don’t understand how to use articles in English grammar. But I’d say that’s not true. They struggle with the word following the article, specifically whether it is countable or uncountable, or whether it is a noun or adjective.

日本語にはa/theという概念がないため、日本人は冠詞の理解ができていないと思われがち。でもその本質は、そもそも冠詞の後にくる単語が単数なのか複数なのか？名詞なのかそうでないか？の判断ができないため、冠詞をつけるべきか否かがわからないだけだと私は思う。
