The game itself is completely free but if you throw a few bones at the developer you get some extra codex text on all the creatures and objects you find, plus some developer commentary. Seems a nice way to do a free release! Also the codex is just the protagonist's alien geocities blog.

There's been some real good free games on Steam recently. Few as weird as Fourmiworld, though. A kinda-sorta metroidvania set in a mostly-destructible open world that loops at the left/right and top/bottom edges, with a funky photo-collage aesthetic. Very non-linear with major mysterious vibes.
