For next time a patient with new cancer diagnosis asks "what can I do?" Finally some evidence to answer: 🛑Stop smoking ⤴️median OS by 1.8 yrs with cessation within 6 months Love data that can change what we do immediately in clinic! 😀

How common is recurr cholangitis after Whipple/HJ without HJ-stenosis (NSC)? Treatment? 🔑 4.2% of 1179 pts with HJ developed NSC 🔑 'step-up approach' = resolution of NSC in 15pts (30%) and reduction of NSC in additional 21pts (42%). 🔑 ✅ UDCA +stopping PPI ▶️

Effective leaders need core competencies and experience (e.g. funds flow, managing PnLs, fund raising, managing conflict, recruiting).... if someone had an example demonstrating their ability in those domains, I'd be way more interested than someone with an additional degree.

A common misconception about pyschological safety is that is about being 'nice'. If the people banging on about
#PsychologicalSafety
actually read the literature rather than making assumptions, they would understand the highest level is *the ability to disagree*. Even robustly, if required.

1. Every patient with a suspected HPB malignancy should be evaluated by an HPB surgeon. The patient deserves an expert opinion. 2. In adults, jaundice is a surgical disease until proven otherwise (that’s easy based on LFT pattern).
