Plenty of Cubs prospect content. Too much, really. Host: Cubs On Deck on YouTube & podcast platforms
pinned post!
Starting a thread for every single prospect that appears in a 2025 MLB Spring Training game. I’ll be answering the question: “What does this season have in store for this guy?” Plenty of prospects in the first game, so let’s dig in ⬇️

In the span of 30 minutes, we witnessed… 1. The catcher with the best season ever from his position hit a game-tying home run in a 2-2 series ALCS 2. One of the best players of all-time strike out the side then hit a leadoff homer 3. The biggest HR in Seattle Mariners history

6 Gold Glove finalists seems good, right? Matthew Boyd Carson Kelly Nico Hoerner Matt Shaw Ian Happ Pete Crow-Armstrong I’d guess the Cubs take home 3 awards from this group. PCA, Nico, and one of either Boyd or Happ

I’ll say one thing, Brewers fans do a phenomenal job of matching the energy their franchise puts out there. This can be read in whatever way you’d like!

I really hope that with the ABS challenge system in place starting in 2026, broadcasts completely remove the strike zone from our screens. It has taken away from the game for years. With ABS, I’m afraid it’ll turn into “challenge that pitch” instead of “wow, good take” from fans
