1) Gemini and "OpenAI" certainly contain propaganda too. However, they are closed and cannot be changed. Deepseek is open-source and, speaking from experience, open-source always wins! (ok not always.. but when it has enough people behind it; it does win).

Yes, Deepseek does contain Chinese propaganda. However, you would only run into it if you were asking very specific questions. There are some efforts around creating uncensored versions. You can see the differences in possible results here: huggingface.co/datasets/nbe...

The more I learn about AI, the more concerned I am about it. If you don't learn to use it at your office job, you are absolutely FUCKED. It is really good at many many office jobs. Either use it to get better or consider going into carpentry or something safer.

Did you know you can run a LLM locally? I am using LM Studio but there are many ways to do it. What I really like about Deepseek AI, is that it tells you what it is thinking. There appear to be layers to this "Thinking". Pretty amazing stuff! #AI
