The west wilfully ignores Arundhati Roy's excision of Dalit voices when schooled on her marginalisation of Dr Ambedkar (one of the greatest intellectuals from India). She chose to suppress the episode in her memoir. Her withdrawal from Berlinale is fine -- we'll take it without lionising her.
