listen i love ao3 as much as the next guy but ive seen people quit fic writing over the past few years because people comment and engage with authors way less, and then everyone still freaks out when ao3 goes down- if a fic is irreplaceable to u, let the author know!

I'm really happy to have heard from a couple Murderbot-only fans who are enjoying the crossover =D it's always nice when someone takes a 'risk,' reading something they're unfamiliar with, and then enjoying! 🎉

AO3's working again! =D

every time AO3 goes down I see people saying they lost their writing. never write on AO3 itself- that writing can be lost at any time. there are free word processors out there. USE A WORD PROCESSOR and save to your own device(s). I use an ancient version of OpenOffice. it does everything I need.

[update] Investigating: We are investigating reports of errors when trying to load AO3, including errors saying that AO3 is down, which seem to be related to the previous incident. We will update when we have more information!

writing in the Murderbot style is fun cuz I'm breaking some of my usual rules: -using "then" a lot -leaving in filter words & other words I usually remove -telling more than showing -barebones descriptions -lots of parentheticals the narrator gives flexibility for introducing info at odd times, too
