The Rare Cancers Act is a significant step forward for people affected by rare and less survivable cancers. It places new responsibilities on Government to accelerate research, improve access to clinical trials, and strengthen support for innovation.

📢 New evaluation shows Cardiff’s Prehab2Rehab programme helps cancer patients recover faster. On average, patients spend 3 fewer days in hospital after surgery. That’s around £1,500 saved per patient for the NHS.

Over 20 MSs joined us at @senedd.wales yesterday to mark #LessSurvivableCancersAwarenessWeek. More than half of people in Wales diagnosed with a cancer of the stomach, pancreas, oesophagus, lung, liver, or brain will die within one year. We need urgent action to close the deadly cancer gap.

Since announcing my diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer a few weeks ago I’ve become increasingly aware of how misunderstood the condition is. So I want to debunk a few misconceptions: 1/7 (short posts!)
