I'm excited to rewatch a bunch of world record progression videos (by SummoningSalt, ItsMaximum, and maybe others) so that I can get a good grip on the style and how to edit my Fire 'N Ice 6-10 WR Progression vid. Just a challenge run to edit and playthrough to record and edit, then I'll start this.

I've been trying to 3D Print Druidle from Fire 'N Ice (NES), and this is the progress I've made so far. You can see the colors I'll paint the print with (apart from smaller 2D details like eyes) and the errors with the first print (see reply to see said first print) fixed in the 3D model version.

it would be cool if you could have two active categories when streaming on Twitch, like Fire 'N Ice and Retro so you get the broad category (retro) that brings in more viewers and the niche one (fni) that tells them what game it is and lets specifically fans of that niche find you easily.

80/203 minutes edited, 9/15 worlds, or ~40% of the editing done. may take 2 or 3 more days if I had to guess

I've already started editing the Fire 'N Ice undo every 3 seconds challenge, I've only gone through 5/203 minutes of the VOD so far though.

fire 'n ice at 3x speed part 2 has started rendering, expect it to be out within 30 to 90 minutes

I finished the thumbnails for both my next Fire 'N Ice (NES) main channel challenge run videos, keep an eye out for these since they're coming out soon! (3x speed part 2 is 2/3rds done editing, undo is recorded fully but unedited)

finished 60/90 mins, made 8.5 mins of content, just 14 levels left to edit

finished editing 40/90 mins of the 3x speed part 2 VOD (turned into 6.5 mins of edited content so far), so I should be able to finish editing and maybe uploading it tomorrow. silly that this'll be my biggest gap between edited videos recently when it's so short to edit. undo may take 4 editing days

I didn't do any Fire 'N Ice speedruns or video editing for a few days to a week since I just HAD to finish reading all of the Warrior Cats books that came out in the past 2 years since I last read them.

just got the world's most peak world 11 run, a 6:33.867, when previously WR was a 6:37 from Smartball and my PB was a 6:38.183 youtu.be/h7m9i1TiO9Y If only I didn't reset this run, I was on an awesome pace until tons of 12-10 deaths.

my SoB is probably actually sub 39 considering the massive time saves to 14-2, 14-3, and 14-7 (as well as smaller ones in 11-9, 12-2, 12-4, 13-3, 13-1, 13-8) Just can't execute well enough in a full run due to nerves, barely got sub 42 today, let alone sub 41, let alone² sub 40, let alone³ sub 39

I think 13-5 might be my favorite scrolling screen level (in Fire 'N Ice) since it's the only scrolling screen level where spawn pausing and gameplay pausing actually help you save time, saving 3-4 seconds as you can do a faster route; without pausing the fire scrolls too fast and blocks this route.

Turns out tons of smartball's bonus level routes were faster so I think my SoB is probably around 39:30 after learning these. Will definitely do a bonus levels run today fr fr.

anyone know if there's an algorithmic / CTR difference between "Can I 100% Fire 'N Ice at 3x speed?" and "Can You 100% Fire 'N Ice at 3x speed?" (a.k.a. I vs. You in challenge run video titles), or is this too nitpicky and it doesn't matter?

Later today I'll try and get bonus levels WR (this'll be easy, my SoB is like 1 min & 45 seconds faster than it), and hopefully I get the first sub 40 soon. It'd be awesome to skip 41:XX and skip 40:XX to make a huge jump. Then I'd go back to any%, then 150 Levels, then other versions 150 Levels.

finished recording part 1 of the fire 'n Ice but I undo every 3 seconds challenge run, will record the bonus levels later in the week and then stitch the vods together so they aren't two separate parts.

I think I'll probably prioritize uploading a few quicker to make / shorter edited playthrough / challenge run videos before the 6-10 WR Progression (as that'll be a big undertaking), so I currently have 2 more challenge runs and 2 more playthroughs planned before starting the 6-10 WR Progression.

so my any% SoB is 59:05, and my bonus levels SoB is 39:54, meaning sub 1:39:00 is possible in 150 levels. Not expecting to get any times close to my SoB in any of these categories that soon, but it's good to know! Will record undo video today fr fr this time, then may take back bonus levels WR soon.

I will do my slower 11-5 route instead of smartball's faster route, just because I'm way more consistent and fast at mine, so even though I'll not get the 11-5 WR or anything I'm fast enough at the rest of the bonus levels that it's fine.

why am I just beating all of the bonus moving enemy level WRs by 1.5-2.5 seconds? Is this gonna happen with 14-10 and 15-10 as well?

I find it silly that my main channel practically always gets 0 views on shorts, with ~300 being my best ever, while ~300 is a flop in terms of second channel shorts views, with 4.6K being my best ever. Then main channel speedruns used to get a lot more views than Krasialt runs do now. Very wacky.

when making a world record progression video, why not just get WR before you finish it? (I say because I got the 6-10 WR today and I'll make "The History of Fire 'N Ice 6-10 World Records" after my next video)

Just finished recording my playthrough of (the demo of) Hotter Fire 'N Freezing Ice by ThemThelves to edit down into a main channel video, will post the VOD soon and edit it down from the 2ish hours it was to probably 15-30 minutes.

made some rules and spaces for Fire 'N Ice Bingo/Lockout if anyone's interested in playing it. At some point I'll make videos on playing this against other Fire 'N Ice speedrunners but it's not in the next 3 videos I have planned.
