I'm the first and perhaps the only Irish Suske & Wiske Famous Fan Club member. Recently arrived the newest fanclub zine with news, features and upcoming strip releases. Its handy to try and learn Dutch aswell.

The retro style comic strip newspaper Falcon issue 5 whivh has a Irish connection with Ed Doyle. It's a mixture of strips that hark back to the 1980s, the best for me is the Tintin influenced Tara Togs from Stephen White aka Stef

The Dandy complete set of issues from 1945 and 1946. Only 6 of these sets were made by a fan/collector a little pricey but for 52 bootleg reprints of classic 1940s Dandy I couldn't resist.

Next Week, The Man of Peel Bananaman Reboot/Relaunch in The Beano. Its been a favourite strip of mine the past few years and really interested in seeing this new era

March 3rd. Marks the death of Herge, creator of Tintin, and perhaps one of the most important comic book creators of the 20th century. Everyone should at least once spend a couple of days in Brussels. I allways try to fit a visit in to some Herge monuments in Brussels.

The Funday Times returns today in The Sunday Times. Sadly not in the Ireland edition of the paper 😢

In the post today, the first of 3 or 4 Action Volumes that are due to collect all the issues of the 1976-77 weekly comic. I like collections like this and I would love to see more of them especially UK comics.

Really like the look of this book. I like the behind the scenes/history of Transformers fandom in Generation Mechs. It also has a little bit of Nick Roche so it can kinda go with my Rochian Collection.

80 Year box set of Dutch/Flemish comic strip Suske En Wiske. 8 decades 8 books with a few stories from each decade. Though they are the contemporary versions of these stories not the original versions. It will take me some time to get through this collection. Handy introduction for a beginner.

Great to see another Beano Presents released. Bananaman Volume 2 with work from @nedhartley.com @n-auchterlounie.bsky.social Wayne Tholpson & Alan Ryan. Need to check my Beano's to see what issues the strips are from. Some great references including some nod/winks to Batman and Superman.

Spotted this on FOC with @bigbangcomics.bsky.social Have some of the Dutch volumes and it's a highlight in Eppo Stripblaad. Its a great Western series highly recommended people pick it up. We could do with more Dutch comics translated into English.

Comic of The Day (01.09.25) The oldest in my collection Beano Issue 583 from 1953. The first appearance of General Jumbo drawn by Irish comic artist Paddy Brennan. Some classic early Dennis The Menance and Rodger The Dodger alongside an old favourite of mine Pansy Potter.

Comic of The Day(19.08.25) Commando 5881 The Longest War Story by Paul Cornell & Art by Steve Yeowell. A Korean man who fought in three different armies, on three different sides, over the course of one war that is based on the story of Yang Kyoungjong. A great debut from Cornell & Yeowell.

Comic of The Day(15.08.25) Mystique Most Wanted The latest X-Verse 'From The Ashes' trade Irish creator Declan Shalvey. Picked it up a few weeks ago in Mechanik Strip Antwerp. A limited series that re introduces Mystique for this new era in the X-Verse.

Comic of The Day(14.08.25) Popeye - Enuffs Fisticuffs Popeye Sunday Newspaper Strips from Randy Milholland 'Enuffs Fisticuffs!' has all 11 parts where all fighting is banned town & an epilogue. All compiled in a A4 comic from Tasq Art & Lighting Strikes Comics. An enjoyable pleasant read.

Some 30 years later after my my first Roche purchase I've gone and ordered Nick's latest book.

Quite like this Tintin inspired homage cover B for Detective Kaiju Issue. Though if I buy issue 2 I'll need to get Issue 1.

Looking at this weeks new comic book releases this made me look twice as I genuinely thought it was a new Thundercats release.
