Today I learned neutron stars have a metre-decametre scale "ocean" layer in between their millimetre-centimetre scale atmosphere and the solid crust with the millimetre-scale mountains. This "ocean" is fuzzy though and transitions seamlessly into the atmosphere. #astronomy #neutronstar
